APPLYING FOR FINANCIAL AID: UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

1. Apply to Judson

Complete your application.

2. Create a Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID

You can create your FSA ID at any time. Your FSA ID is considered your e-signature on the FAFSA.

3. Complete a Free Application for Federal Student aid (FAFSA)

To complete your Free Application For Federal Student Aid, please visit . The FAFSA is available in December.

4. Receive a Student Aid Report

Approximately four to six weeks after filing the FAFSA you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) from the federal processor, listing the information you provided. If you provided an email address on the FAFSA you may receive the SAR via email. Review this information carefully. If corrections need to be made, go to聽聽or use Part 2 of the paper SAR to correct the information and send the signed SAR directly to the federal processor. If the SAR indicates that you are selected for “verification”, you will need to provide the Financial Aid office with a signed copy of the parent’s tax return transcripts and a signed copy of the student’s tax return transcripts and a Verification worksheet.

5. Receive and Return a Financial Aid Package

Watch for a Financial Aid Award letter to be sent to you.聽Remember you will need to聽apply to 91精品黑料吃瓜 and be admitted before an aid package can be sent.

6. Accept Student Loans (if applicable)

If you have accepted Federal Loans and are a first time borrower, you will need to go to聽聽to sign your master promissory note and complete entrance counseling. You will need your FSA ID.

The Value of a Degree

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, figures from 2017 show that individuals with a bachelor鈥檚 degree earn on average $463 more in median weekly wages than high school graduates with no college education. Multiplied by fifty-two weeks, that鈥檚 an average $24,336 more each year. Individuals with a bachelor鈥檚 degree are also 46% less likely to be unemployed than high school graduates with no college education. A college education pays off considerably in the long term for many individuals in many careers.
